This review is from: NEW 1" Memory Foam CRIB Mattress Pad Topper W/Cover 3lbs DENSITY - WITH BREATHABLE COVER Crib mattresses are normally quite firm and I just couldnt see our son sleeping on such a hard surface. The one inch foam topper adds just enough cushion to make the crib feel more comfy. Our son has no problems sleeping on it. Crib sheets fit fine over the topper and the mattress. It can get a lil tight in the corners, but I'd rather have taught crib sheets than not anyway. Topper is covered in a thin cotton-like material, much like how many other foam toppers are covered. We purchased the topper about a year prior to the posting of this review. The price has since exponentially risen! Would buy again if and when the price drops below $100.
